Self-care Isnāt Selfish
Ā
Back to school means new beginnings, but itās also a stressful time for so many of my friends and colleagues in independent schools. I call the past few weeks that crazy time of year when many of us are SINKING under the weight of overwhelm that comes with the transition of summer to fall.
Thatās why thereās no better time to remember the value of self-care. The best leaders know their ability to operate at the highest level is directly tied to their physical and emotional wellbeing. Even the tiniest actsāa short walk, a 5-minute meditation, or lunch with a friendācan make a huge difference.
To help with more tools and tricks, Iām offering a series of free webinars about unleashing your potential to thriveāwith the first one TOMORROW, Aug. 15, from 2-3 p.m. You can register here, or just click the image below.
Self-care is never selfish. Itās an essential part of becoming your best self, whether thatās discovering a better work-life balance, recognizing your value, or growing professionally and personally.
Itās time to take care of YOUāand to find the right support to help you do it!
Always empowering your success,
Rock the Boat. Just Donāt āOver-Rowā It.
As a former CIO turned executive leadership coach, I canāt tell you how many times Iāve witnessed the pitfalls of perfectionism, especially for women leaders who take on more than they can handle and struggle under the weight of unrealistic expectations. But you can break free from this cycle of āover-rowingā by inspiring and enabling others.
